When rest of the world was living in primitive conditions, India was at its peak of culture. Epics such as Ramayana and Mahabharata were composed. Vedas, Upanishads, Shruti , Smritis, Puranas etc. were written. Our Rishis were busy in teachings of Mathematics, Ayurved, Dhanurved , Futuretelling , Singing Samaved, Astrology etc. India found out the use of zero. Kanad invented atom.

Kanad Rishi (Sage) was born and lived in Prabhas Pattan, near Dwaraka. His real name was Kashyap, He used to collect the grains fallen in the fields and roads, cook it and eat. In Sanskrit language 'Kanad' means particle. Hence, he was nicknamed as Kanad. he established that the world is created out of particles or atoms. Dr. Homi Bhabha who laid the foun-dation stone of atomic research and its use for peaceful purpose in India was called as the 'Modern Kanad. Pages32
