A Noble King of Keladi depicts the life of Raja Sivappa Nayaka of Keladi Kingdom in 17th century Karnataka, who was known for his heroism, magnanimity, political wisdom, systematization of tax system according to the measurement and classification of land, encouragement to agriculture, irrigation and Divine Forests, ecological awareness, religious tolerance, loyalty to Vijayanagara Empire, equanimity between worldly responsibility and spiritual detachment and diplomatic relation with the foreign powers like the British, the Dutch and the Portuguese.
